Muse en el V festival 2008

Ya está todo más o menos ok. He llamado al número de further questions y un señor muy amable me ha explicado lo que decís, que al ser de fuera, tengo que cogerlas allí con mi número de referencia y mi card, que supongo que se referirá a la documentación burocrática, rollo débito y dni.

me quedo mucho más tranquila, y os parecerá súper friqui, pero me ha llegado al alma que os preocupéis por mí :_

Siento no haber entrado en este hilo antes (de verdad q lo siento GIRLINTHED...).

Las entradas se pueden recoger sólo un mes antes de la fecha del festival (no antes).
Efectivamente tiene que ir a recoger las entradas el titular de la tarjeta con la tarjeta en cuestión, pero mediante autorización firmada puede ir otra persona a recoger las entradas en tu lugar y hacértelas llegar como proceda.
Hasta donde yo sé, la oficina está en London y mis entradas son para Stafford por lo que es un rollo recogerlas justo antes del festival.
Por si acaso, mi novio ha estado en la oficina cada vez que ha viajado a London con la esperanza de que se las dieran antes, pero no. La última vez dejó el papel autorizando a la persona que iba a recogerlas en su lugar.
La próxima semana estaremos a un mes del festival. Espero tener las entradas en casa el fin de semana que viene.

Pues eso, que estoy empezando a inquietarme, así que estoy contemplando la posibilidad de que mi novio haga un ida/vuelta (forzoso) a London un domingo de estos.

Frontman Matt Bellamy said: “We’re trying to get a UFO to come in. Health and Safety as usual are ruining it all. I’m not sure V are quite prepared for us.

“We’ve redesigned the whole stage and we’re bringing in loads of props that won’t be on stage but around the venue. Their initial reaction was: ‘No, this is a festival, that’s not gonna work.’ But we’re gonna make it happen.”

He added: “We’ve written a lot of new songs but we’ve bottled out of playing them live because, from past experience, we’ve ended up hating some of our favourites by the time we recorded them.”

Meanwhile, Matt hinted that the trio might invite Mike Skinner, 29, of The Streets on stage to perform their joint new tune Who Knows Who.

Matt said: “We’d be happy to do it if he is. If people like it, maybe he’ll come and play.”

No, quiere uno que sobrevuele por encima (no va a ser por debajo) del público, o eso he entendido yo siempre.

Y lo de las canciones es casi mejor, por una parte me gustaría que tocaran algo (una canción nueva siempre es toda una experiencia) pero por otra parte no quiero que pase como en otras ocasiones, que te haces a la idea de la canción y luego te dan la sorpresa, para bien o para mal.

Just heard on newsbeat on radio 1 about 10 mins ago, muse ARE having the UFO they were originally disallowed, Matt said something like they've "got something to prove" so im assuming they convinced the festival organizers that it is safe

Muse played a spectacular headline show at the Chelmsford leg of the V Festival tonight (August 16).

The band utilised huge props, light and stage effects and played beefed-up, extended versions of their hits plus instrumental jams to create a crowd-wowing show that closed the first night of the Essex bash.

Anticipation for the show was high, with fans on site cheering the band's name long before their stage time. Many texted pro-Muse messages to the screens sandwiching the V Stage, prompting more cheers as the audience read them.

Then, at 9:15pm (BST), six enormous satellite dishes that had been erected on and either side of the stage began spinning and glowing. They suddenly fired huge beams of light into the crowd as the band walked on stage and began playing 'Map Of The Problematique'.

As frontman Matt Bellamy and co ended the song they began playing the riff from Led Zeppelin's 'Heartbreaker', then launched into 2006 hit 'Supermassive Black Hole'.

During the song images of robots marching were projected onto the satellites with spectacular effect as Bellamy, wearing a striking red outfit, played an extended guitar solo.

Bellamy flitted between piano and guitar for 'New Born'. Then, as he played the guitar outro to 'Butterflies And Hurricanes', huge bursts of smoke began firing from the front of the stage drawing gasps from many crowd members.

During an instrumental jam later in the set, Bellamy walked up the flank of the stage and began bashing his guitar against one of the searchlights.

Then, as 'Take A Bow' ended, another cascade of smoke dramatically enveloped the stage as the band headed backstage.

Muse returned shortly afterwards to play an encore of 'Starlight', 'Plug In Baby' and 'Knights Of Cydonia', releasing scores of white balloons then a massive wall of flame and sparks to close day one of V Festival in Chelmsford.
